Office Policies

We appreciate you electing our office to serve your orthodontic needs.  We are committed to caring for you and to helping you achieve the finest orthodontics possible.  We welcome the opportunity to work with you and to create a happier face and a healthier smile that will last a lifetime!  We ask that you review this pamphlet to become familiar with our office procedures. 

SureSmile
We are excited to share with you an advanced technology in orthodontics called SureSmile!  Our office implemented SureSmile to enable us to deliver our high standard of care with shorter treatment time, fewer appointments and less discomfort.

Office Hours
Mondays we are in our Sandy office from 8am to 5pm, Tuesday and Wednesdays we are in the Gresham office from 7am to 4 pm and Thursdays in the Gresham office from 8 am to 5 pm.  The office is closed on weekends and major holidays as well as times when the doctor and staff are attending continuing education programs.

Repair Care
We reserve a limited amount of time each day so that a repair appointment may be scheduled quickly.  If you have a problem requiring repair treatment, please call us as early in the day as possible.  Should you have an emergency after hours or on weekends, we provide an assistant  “on call” 24 hours a day.

Fees and Payment Policy
In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established our financial policy as follows:

  1. If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount for payment of your portion of the fee that will not be covered by insurance.
  2. To fit the needs of our patients, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months following an appropriate down payment.
  3. For you convenience we offer VISA, MasterCard, Debit and Discover charging options.   We also offer electronic payments from your checking or savings account.
    In cases of serious delinquency, treatment will be discontinued, although we will make every effort to accommodate our patients with temporary situations.

Appointments
Patients are seen by appointment only.  Please call in  advance so that we may reserve  a time for you.  Our schedule was created to allow us to take the very best care of each and every patient and we make every effort to stay on or ahead of schedule.  If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.  If possible, please give us 24 hours notice.  This courtesy on your part makes it possible for us to give your appointment to another patient.
We schedule certain types of appointments at certain times of the day to best accommodate all of our patients.  This system actually allows us to  have our quick adjustments before or after school  and working hours.  It is unavoidable that some school or work will be missed.  Our receptionist will do her best to schedule you  at the most convenient time for your family and our office.

Insurance
If you have insurance we will help you to determine the coverage you have available.  We ask that you assign your insurance benefit to us.  The balance will be arranged for you to pay as discussed in the fees and payment policy. 
Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company.  Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible   to the doctor.    We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
